An Epic Road Adventure from Delhi to Ladakh and Kashmir

Being busy in the bustling city life with your hectic office schedule must have worn you out. Life isn’t meant to be this dull! This holiday season, add some excitement and fun to your life with our Delhi-Ladakh-Kashmir trip. During this trip, I will take you to the lanes of Delhi, which are bustling with aroma and life, followed by a trip to the beautiful cold desert of Ladakh and then stop by indulging in the heavenly beauty of Kashmir. Jahangir once said, “Gar firdaus, ruhe zamin ast, hamin asto, hamin asto, hamin ast,” meaning “If there is a paradise on Earth, it is here, it is here, it is here.” He used these words to describe the stunning beauty of Kashmir. On this trip you will visit some of the pristine lakes, serene hills and valleys, as well as historical sites of Delhi. Not only sightseeing, but you can even spend your time enjoying local festivities and shopping for textiles and handiwork souvenirs.

Tentative Schedule

  • Day 01 : Arrive Manali

    On our first day, we will indulge in the musical ripples of Beas and witness the pristine beauty of Manali’s hill. You can start the day by visiting the Hidimba Devi Temple and the Himalayan Nyingmapa Buddhist to feel the divine and then wrap up your day to get some rest.

  • Day 02 : Manali to Keylong

    On day 2, we will take you on a road trip from Manali to Keylong, where you will witness Deo Tibba’s majestic beauty and move towards Keylong, passing through the Rohtang Pass and Lahaul Valley. You can take a break to visit Kibber Village and Key Gompa Monastery and enjoy your day.

  • Day 03 : Keylong to Sarchu

    You will experience the real essence of a road trip on your third day. We will hit the road in a shared bus. I will take you from Keylong to Sarchu through Barcha Laa, a stoic mountain (15,910 ft), offering you the mesmerising sight of valleys and mountains.

  • Day 04 : Sarchu to Leh

    Your journey from Sarachu to Leh is going to be an adventurous one. This 6-hour-long ride (250 km) will take you through Gata Loops, Nakee La, and Tanglang La passes. Famous for the Ghost Temple, Gata looks like a hairpin path, while at Tanglang La you can enjoy trekking, cycling, and even mountain biking.

  • Day 05 : Leh

    On day 5, you will witness the grandeur of the White Desert of Leh and we will set up our camps there. Then you can set off to visit the Thiksey and Hemis monasteries that will transport you to the Buddhist era.

  • Day 06 : Leh to Nubra Valley

    We will start the day by taking you to the Leh Palace to make you witness the exquisite Tibetan architecture and then the Hall of Fame, Leh, to behold the memoirs of the Indian Army and their weapons. After that we will hitch a ride to Nubra Valleys.

  • Day 07 : Nubra Valley

    Nubra Valley offers you some of the captivating sights to behold. Once you come here, you might catch the beautiful sight of Bactrian camels and other wildlife. On top of that, I will take you to Diskit Monastery and local villages to enjoy local delicacies and the warmth of the local people.

  • Day 08 : Nubra to Pangong Lake

    We will set out on our 6-hour-long journey from our booked car. The route will split at Shyok, near Khalsar, and travel from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake. Instead of taking the upper path that leads to Khardung La, you have to take the road that leads to Village Agham. The Shyok River will accompany you for the most part.

  • Day 09 : Pangong to Leh

    On the way back from Pangong to Leh, we will witness some majestic mountains, and the evening will be spent visiting the local market of Leh.

  • Day 10 : Leh to Kargil

    Our Leh to Kargil trip will be adventurous because of Fotu La Pass, the highest pass between Leh and Kargil. Upon reaching Kargil, we will take you to the Kargil War Memorial, Munshi Aziz Bhat Museum, and Kargil Gompa & Buddhist Monastery.

  • Day 11 : Kargil to Srinagar

    With a 4.4-hour-long ride, you will hit the road from Kargil to Srinagar. Kargil by road and Drass is open almost throughout the year. Today we will take a rest while enjoying ZojiLa Pass’s snowfall.

  • Day 12 : Srinagar

    Ride a shikara in Dal Lake and enjoy the marvellous beauty of Pari Mahal while enjoying Tsochar, sheermal, and girda with Kahwa from local bakeries. Srinagar will open doors to magnificent tulip gardens and Shalimar gardens as well, where you can capture your own pic surrounded by the exotic nature.

  • Day 13 : Srinagar to Jammu

    Tired from a road trip? Then you can take the train from Srinagar to Jammu. Jammu has some of the iconic places to visit, like the Dogra Art Museum, Amar Mahal Museum and Library, Vaishnodevi, and many more. Spend your evening enjoying the piping hot Rajma Chawal, Zafrani Pulao, Murgh Musallam, and Kahwa.

  • Day 14 : Srinagar to Chandigarh

    On our last day of the trip. We will fly from Srinagar to Chandigarh, as 13 days of road trip must have been exhausting. Today we will take you on a trip to the Zakir Hossain rose garden and ISKCON temple in Chandigarh before we bid adieu to the city!
